GOD Please Talk To The Children

 

God our schools are becoming killing fields because of hate
Touch the hearts of our leaders, before it is too late
Let them know this is why schools need prayer, for evil won't be our fate

God talk to the children teach them love for one another
Teach them that they are all brothers
Color doesn't matter, and to respect the believes of others

God please let them know that they are loved
Let them know that your son has already shed his blood
They need not kill, nor hate, for it is of the evil one

God please let them know there is hope
They don't need any gang, no evil, not even dope
Let them know they should have fun, play, and jump rope

God please tell them, we grown ups need them around
Their smiling faces cheer us up when we are down
We need to hear their voices, and happy sounds

God speak to the children tell them guns kill
Tell them to hate, and kill is not your will
With happiness and joy they must be filled

God speak to their developing hearts, and minds
Teach them to love, and be kind

And finally God speak to us, the grown ups too
Because of us they do the things they do
Teach us how to raise them to listen to you
